Abstract

This paper discusses contemporary prophetic ministry in Ghana, examines the use of appellations by selected Ghanaian prophets, and the impact of the appellations on According to the Encyclopedia of Language and Linguistics, appellation is generally rendered as a term usually used to refer to a name or label given to an individual, place, or thing. Appellations can also refer to a title or designation that indicates a person’s status, profession, or affiliation (Brown et al. 2006).
